DUBLIN — Dubliners angry over the around-the-clock dismantling of U2's monumental concert stage mounted street protests yesterday, threatening the Irish band's plans for the next stop on its European tour.

Residents around Croke Park stadium said their aim was to embarrass the Dublin City Council and the Gaelic Athletic Association — which authorized two straight nights of noise — not hang up Ireland's most famous musical export.

Several dozen residents near the stadium called off their demonstrations after delaying U2's initial convoy for several hours. More than 50 trucks eventually left, behind schedule for concerts Friday and Saturday in the Swedish city of Goteborg.

KIM KARDASHIAN, REGGIE BUSH BREAK UP

NEW YORK — Kim Kardashian and Reggie Bush are splitsville.

Kardashian's spokeswoman confirmed the couple has called it quits but declined further comment.

The 28-year-old reality star dated the 24-year-old New Orleans Saints running back for some two years.

She recently discussed the difficulties of having a long-distance relationship, on her E! reality show "Keeping Up With the Kardashians."

Last November, Kardashian said she and Bush were "dedicated" and tried to see each other often.

HULK HOGAN DIVORCE FINAL AFTER LONG SPAT

CLEARWATER, Fla. — Hulk Hogan and his wife have finally reached a settlement in their divorce case.

The 55-year-old celebrity wrestler — whose real name is Terry Bollea — said in court yesterday that he and his wife, Linda, have agreed on terms of the split. The divorce was finalized at a brief hearing.

Both say they want to put aside months of bitterness and get on with their lives. They and their attorneys had publicly clashed over everything from money to Linda Bollea allowing her boyfriend to drive the couple's vehicles. The terms were not made public.

In 2008 court filings, the couple's net worth was listed at between $26 million and $32 million.

CHIMP AUTOBIOGRAPHY A LITERARY FINALIST

LONDON — The purported autobiography of a movie-star chimpanzee is among the contenders for Britain's most prestigious literary award.

"Me Cheeta" is one of 13 novels on the Booker Prize longlist. Originally published anonymously, James Lever's book claims to tell the life story of the chimp who gained 1930s Hollywood stardom in "Tarzan" movies.

Other contenders announced yesterday are former Booker winners A.S. Byatt and J.M .Coetzee. The shortlist will be announced Sept. 8 and the winner of the $82,000 prize Oct. 6.
