HOLLYWOOD — FX has ordered 13 episodes of “Lawman,” a new drama series starring Timothy Olyphant.
In “Lawman,” Olyphant will play Raylan Givens, a modern-day U.S. marshal whose particular brand of old-school justice gets him reassigned to the rural Kentucky town where he grew up. Givens is based on the main character in Elmore Leonard’s short story “Fire in the Hole.”
“Lawman” comes from “Boomtown” creator Graham Yost. FX plans to premiere the series next spring.
