Mokulele Airlines said it has signed a new code-share agreement with Alaska Airlines.

Seattle-based Alaska flies direct from the Mainland to Honolulu, Lihu'e, Kahului and Hilo. Under the code-share agreement, Alaska will sell tickets for Mokulele flights between Honolulu and the Neighbor Island destinations.

Tickets are available for purchase starting July 25 for travel beginning Aug. 1.

ADVOCATES OF BLIND FAULT SBA'S WEB SITE

Virgil Stinnett, a Honolulu resident who owns Good News HI, and the National Federation of the Blind have filed an administrative complaint with the Small Business Administration, saying the SBA's Web site is not accessible enough.

They say the site can't be used by blind people who use text-to-speech screen access technology or Braille displays to access information on the Internet. The complaint says blind people cannot fill out forms on the site because of this or take online courses offered by the SBA.

Stinnett, whose business provides military dining services, said access to the SBA Web site is critical, since he uses the SBA's programs and services.

"The fact that I could not access the Web site has cost me time and resources that I would not have needed to expend if I had been able to use the site like everyone else," Stinnett said in a press statement.

NEW CEO HIRED AT ENERGY INDUSTRIES

Energy Industries Corp., a Honolulu-based company specializing in energy-efficiency services, said it has hired Hubert Chang as president and chief executive officer.

Chang will take over CEO duties from company founder Darren Kimura, who will continue as chairman. Miles Kubo, who had been president, will now serve as chief operating officer and executive vice president of the company's energy finance division.
