The Contemporary Museum presents the August Moon Wine Tasting from 6 p.m.to 9 p.m. Aug. 8 to support its public art education programs.
Twenty-seven wineries from the finest growing regions in America, Portugal and Australia will be at TCM serving some of their most excellent vintage wines. All of the wines presented are organic and biodynamic that were grown using sustainable farming practices.
Participating wineries include one of the oldest organic vineyards, Tres Sabores Winery, from Napa Valley, Calif., solar-powered L’Adventure Winery from Paso Robles, Ca., Kopke and Rocha Ports from Portugal and Glaetzer Winery and Woop Woop Winery from Australia.
To accompany the wine tasting will be various exquisite foods from Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse, King Food Service, TCM Café, and La Gelateria Italian Style Frozen Desserts.
In addition to the wine tasting will be a silent auction. Specially selected wines and artworks and home décor by local artists and designers are produced with sustainable and/or recycled materials.
All proceeds from this fall fundraiser will support children’s art education. TCM provides free tours to over 10,000 school children every year. They also provide a free bus service to schools that have little resources through their Transportation and Transformation program.
Reservations are required. Tickets cost $75 for general admission and $125 for sponsor admission. A one-year membership to TCM is included with the purchase. Valet parking is free and available to those who carry four or more people in a carpool and to those with a sponsor admission. Parking is available at Roosevelt High School with a complimentary shuttle service to the museum.
