A 50-year-old man who was sitting in a cellblock at the main police station about 9:15 last night got himself into even more trouble when he allegedly stole a jelly sandwich from a fellow detainee.
Police said a 47-year-old man was given two jelly sandwiches and placed into a cell already occupied by the older man.
Once inside the cell, the younger man was slapped on the side of the head by the other man who then took away one of the sandwiches, police said.
The older man was arrested on suspicion of second-degree robbery and moved to a separate cell.
No word on whether a replacement sandwich was issued.
