ISLAND LIFE SHORTS
Healthy Baby Contest looking for participants
Parents can show off their wee ones at the Meadow Gold Dairies' annual Healthy Baby Contest, which is accepting registration through Aug. 23.
This year the Healthy Baby Contest will feature an online People's Choice photo contest open only to the top 50 finalists. The public can visit Meadow Gold's Web site in September and vote for their favorite finalist.
An Island tradition since 1953, the contest is held each September. Keiki are judged on physical appearance, healthiness and personality. In the final round, the five highest-scoring babies are each awarded a U.S. savings bond ranging from $500 to $2,500 from Meadow Gold Dairies of Hawai'i, among other prizes.
