Advertiser Staff

Southern indie rock group Band of Horses, which has appeared on the "Late Show With David Letterman" and performed with Bruce Springstein, will play Aug. 23 at Pipeline Cafe, BAMP Project promoters announced today.

Band of Horses is an indie rock group influenced by Neil Young and The Flaming Lips. "The Funeral" off of their first album in 2006, and “Everything All The Time,” picked up much recognition appearing on some of televisions most popular sho ws like CSI, One Tree Hill, Criminal Minds, and Numb3rs.  Already on a fast track to stardom, the group didn't waste any time in the studio quickly turning over album number two in 2007 called “Cease to Begin,” landing them No. 35 on the Billboard Top 200 Charts.
Showtime is 8 p.m. with doors opening at 7 p.m. Tickets are $22 and $40 and can be purchased at www.groovetickets.com, www.bampproject.com, Blue Hawaii Surf Stores, Pipeline Box Office, Military Ticket Outlets and WRV North Shore.
