Multiple fire companies are battling three separate brushfires that have broken out in an area south of the Waiawa Correctional Facility Road in Central Oahu.

Fire Capt. Terry Seelig said the fires have burned about 100 acres of former sugarcane land that is now overgrown with brush, grass and other fuel for the fires to feed on. No structures have been threatened by the blaze, Seelig said.
The cause of the fires is not known at this time.
