A 35-year-old man was arrested in Hawaii Kai Sunday morning after he allegedly threatened his girlfriend’s roommate with a metal pipe and threw a brick through the rear window of her car.
The roommate told police the man, who has no local address, was arguing with his girlfriend about 7:25 a.m. and she intervened.
The man picked up the pipe and threatened to hit her with it, the roommate said.
She said the man saw her telephoning police and ran out of the house, grabbed a brick from the yard and threw it through the back window of her car before driving off in his own car.
Responding police officers spotted the man in his car a short distance away and arrested him without incident on suspicion of first-degree terroristic threatening and fourth-degree criminal property damage.
