Writer and poet Bridget Gray will be at the launch of In-Tone-Nation, a display of visual, lyrical and musical talent, at The Loft in Chinatown next Friday from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m.

Gray has shared the bill with artists such as John Legend, The Black Eyed Peas, Erykah Badu, Jill Scott, Joss Stone, and  Mos Def. Her performance quality got her an extended standing ovation at her taping of  HBO's "Def Poetry Jam," as well as featured on ABC's "Eye On LA" and  BET's "Lyric Café. Her lyrics have been published in several anthologies and textbooks, where her words are now studied in classrooms from high school to university levels worldwide.
Tempo Valley will also be playing jazz-infused hip hop and there will be live painting by Carol Tagowa.
