Gannett Foundation donation helps Girl Scouts of Hawaii rebuild Web site

Girl Scouts of Hawaii announced today that the Gannett Foundation has donated $10,000 to help develop a Web site that will let girls, volunteers and the public gain access to information within a safe and secure environment.
“Having the ability to rebuild our Web site makes it possible for the Girl Scouts of Hawaii to better support the leadership development of our Girl Scouts,” Girls Scouts of Hawaii CEO Gail Mukaihata Hannemann said in a news release.
“It also serves as a significant resource for the general public to learn and better understand the needs and wants of girls growing up in Hawaii.”
On behalf of the Gannett Foundation, Lee Webber, President and Publisher of the Honolulu Advertiser, said he and the foundation are keenly aware of the important role modeling that Girls Scouts of Hawaii provides for young women in the Islands
