Taking Back Sunday coming to Pipeline Cafe
Taking Back Sunday will be performing at Pipeline Cafe on Sept. 25, BAMP Project announced.
After a three-year-hiatus and debut of a new album, Taking Back Sunday is armed with a fresh look, new guitarist, but same killer rock sound. The group has launched a new campaign with the release of its fourth album appropriately titled “New Again.” After losing momentum with the parting of guitarist/vocalist Fred Mascherano the remaining members found it hard to get back into the groove, but they didn't fret long after the addition and transition of new guitarist Matthew Fazzi to the picture.
Expectations ran high after the first three albums, “Tell All Your Friends,” “Where You Want To Be” and “Louder Now,” crushed the music scene, peaking “Where You Want To Be” at No. 3 in 2004 on the U.S. Billboard 200 Chart and “Louder Now” at No. 2 selling more than 600,000 copies.
However the new addition and album are said to be the strongest and most creative for the group to date. Taking Back Sunday is hitting the road hard promoting “New Again” and its first single "Sink Into Me," which has debuted at No. 7 on the U.S. Billboard 200 album charts its first week of release.
Doors open at 7 p.m.; show starts at 8 p.m. General admission tickets cost $27.50; VIP seats are $60.
