Author Terri Farley, whose popular Phantom Stallion series of books has sold a million copies, is back with another read for horse-loving tweens. There are Hawai'i ties to her latest book, "Phantom Stallion: Wild Horse Island #10 — Faraway Filly" (HarperCollins Children's Books). For Farley's Wild Horse Island series, the resident of Verdi, Nev., volunteered on a horse ranch in Hawai'i for three weeks. To learn more about Farley's books — aimed at children ages 10 and older — and the wild horses of Nevada and Hawai'i, visit www.phantomstallion.com.

FINAL WORD
"I like 'Aqua Teen Hunger Force' — a lot. I also like '24' and 'Family Guy.' I am kind of a 13-year-old boy inside."
