A 57-year-old man, injured in a motorcycle accident on Jan. 10, died on Friday, according to the Honolulu medical examiner's office.
The man was critically injured after he was ejected from his silver Harley Davidson near the entrance of the Kalaeloa Barbers Point Harbor just before 3 a.m. Jan. 10. He veered onto the left gravel shoulder of the road and collided with a concrete piling barrier. He has been identified as Stanley Lambert. The cause and manner of his death has yet to be determined. An autopsy will be performed tomorrow.
Including Lambert, there have been eight fatalities on Oahu roadways so far this year, compared to five by this day in 2008, according to Honolulu police. The seventh victim, a 36-year-old man, was involved in a three-car collision on Saturday morning.
