Family fare
Mini reviews of new movies from a family perspective
'BRIDE WARS'
Rating: PG, for suggestive content, language and some rude behavior.
What it's about: Best friends become dueling brides when they both book their dream weddings in the same place and on the same day.
The kid attractor factor: Anne Hathaway and Kate Hudson co-star.
Good lessons/bad lessons: Don't let your dream wedding take over your life.
Violence: A little bride wrestling.
Language: Surprisingly restrained, just a smidgen of mild profanity.
Sex: A visit to a strip club with a little bumping and grinding.
Drugs: Budweisers and tequila shots all around!
Parents' advisory: Like "27 Dresses," without the profanity. Child mild.
'NOT EASILY BROKEN'
Rating: PG-13, for sexual references and thematic elements.
What it's about: A married couple faces stresses and temptations when their marriage hits the wall.
The kid attractor factor: Not much of one, though Morris Chestnut is a matinee idol.
Good lessons/bad lessons: When a marriage is in trouble, it's the job of the family, the church and friends to help mend it.
Violence: A car accident.
Language: Quite clean for PG-13.
Sex: The threat of infidelity, a few frank discussions.
Drugs: None.
Parents' advisory: It was written by a preacher, so it's about as edgy as a Sunday sermon. Tame.
