BANK OF HAWAII

Bank of Hawaii has appointed executive vice president Derek Norris to controller and principal accounting officer. His responsibilities include overseeing the bank's financial reports for internal business lines and the overall budget for the bank. Norris joined Bank of Hawaii in 1999 and became general auditor in 2000.

Jean Creadick has joined BOH as vice president and private client services team leader in the Personal Trust-Estate Settlement Department. She manages the settlement or termination of trusts and probate estates.

Angela Davidson has joined BOH as vice president and compliance officer in the Investment Services Group Compliance Department. She serves as a liaison between federal, state and internal examiners and is responsible for planning and executing fiduciary compliance training and monitoring to reduce risk for the bank.

SUNTECH HAWAII

Renewable energy company Suntech Hawaii has hired Nolie Diakoulas as a project engineer. He will manage project integration, ensuring that the solar systems are built as designed and fit seamlessly into the overall project.

He previously worked at H&G Properties as a project manager/engineer and at Carl M. Freeman Communities as a project engineer.

Also hired was EAMONN KINSELLA as vice president of sales. He will be responsible for overall sales growth in the Hawai'i and Pacific Rim areas. He has extensive sales and management experience and was previously director of business development at American Electric Co.

FIRST HAWAIIAN BANK

First Hawaiian Bank has promoted the following: Winston K.H. Chow, from senior vice president and region manager, Hawai'i region to executive vice president and region manager, O'ahu region.

Iris Matsumoto, from senior vice president and manager to executive vice president and manager, Human Resources Division.

Brian Sunada, from senior vice president and manager to executive vice president and manager, Commercial Real Estate Division.

BOARD OF WATER SUPPLY

The Honolulu Board of Water Supply's board of directors has appointed Wayne Hashiro as the ninth manager and chief engineer of the Board of Water Supply.

He will be responsible for the overall strategic direction and management of the BWS, with a focus on furthering the department's mission and expanding its efforts to become a world-class water utility.

Hashiro was most recently the city managing director. The Maui native has worked as a professional engineer and successful manager for more than 34 years.

XEROX HAWAII

Xerox Hawaii has appointed Amanda Raimo to marketing representative and Michael Person to printer specialist.

NATIONAL PETROLEUM COUNCIL

East-West Center Senior Fellow Fereidun Fesharaki has been appointed by U.S. Secretary of Energy Samuel Bodman to serve on the National Petroleum Council. The council is a self-funded advisory body to the secretary of energy whose members represent all sectors of the oil and natural gas industries and related interests.
