Denver Nuggets All-Star forward Carmelo Anthony will miss three to four weeks with a broken right hand.
Anthony said he was injured during the Nuggets' 135-115 win over the Indiana Pacers last night when Jeff Foster tried to steal the ball from him early in the third quarter.
X-rays taken after the game and a visit with a hand specialist today confirmed the fracture, the team said in a press release. His hand will be placed in a splint while it heals.
The Nuggets are 24-12 this season, matching the best start in franchise history.
Anthony leads the Nuggets with 21.1 points a game and is second with 7.3 rebounds. He missed three games last month with an elbow injury.
