KAHULUI, Maui — A 23-year-old Kahului woman is in police custody after allegedly fatally stabbing her boyfriend yesterday.

Police have not released the 33-year-old victim's name because his family had not been notified.

The stabbing occurred at the couple's rented home at 107 W. Kaua'i St.

Neighbors told police they heard the pair arguing around 1 p.m. yesterday and then saw the woman leave in a car. Police and an ambulance were summoned and the victim was taken to Maui Memorial Medical Center, where he died at 9:55 p.m.

The suspect is facing a charge of second-degree murder but had not been formally charged.
