VAL DI FIEMME, Italy — Virpi Kuitunen of Finland rallied to win the Tour de Ski title Sunday by capturing the 9-kilometer pursuit.
She won the race in 37 minutes, 26.9 seconds, a day after winning the 10K classic race.
Aino Kaisa Saarinen was second, 7.2 seconds behind, and finished second in the Tour de Ski standings. Petra Majdic of Slovenia was third overall.
Kuitunen attacked from the front and led for most of the race. But with about three miles left, Saarinen made her move and broke away. Kuitunen rallied with less than a mile to go.
