MILWAUKEE — Victory No. 800 reminded Connecticut coach Jim Calhoun of something his father once told him as a boy: You're always going to be judged by the company you keep.

And with the second-ranked Huskies' 93-82 victory over No. 8 Marquette last night, Calhoun joined Bob Knight, Dean Smith, Adolph Rupp, Jim Phelan, Mike Krzyzewski and Eddie Sutton as the only men's coaches to win 800 games in Division I history.

"I looked around at that list, and I'm really happy to be in their company," Calhoun said.

Senior guard A.J. Price scored a career-high 36 points for the Huskies (26-2, 14-2 Big East), who broke Marquette's 17-game home winning streak.

And the Golden Eagles (23-5, 12-3) paid a heavy price in the loss, as senior guard Dominic James broke a bone in his left foot about four minutes into the first half. Golden Eagles coach Buzz Williams announced after the game that James' college career is over.

"I hugged him before I came in here," Williams said, his voice cracking.

Jerel McNeal scored 26 points for the Golden Eagles, who managed to stay in contention until the final few minutes

Marquette led 74-73 with 7:15 left, but Kemba Walker's three-point play started an 11-0 run and the Huskies never trailed again.

No. 7 Duke 78, Maryland 67: Gerald Henderson scored 19 points, and Jon Scheyer hit a 3-pointer with 1:54 left for a 72-63 lead as the visiting Blue Devils (23-5, 9-4 Atlantic Coast Conference) held off the Terrapins (17-10, 6-7).

No. 9 Michigan State 62, Iowa 54: Delvon Roe scored 16 points and fellow freshman Korie Lucious added 12 to help the Spartans (22-5, 12-3) beat the Hawkeyes (14-14, 4-11) to open a 1 1/2-game lead in the Big Ten race over No. 16 Purdue and a two-game lead over No. 20 Illinois.

No. 10 Villanova 74, DePaul 72: Scottie Reynolds and Dante Cunningham both scored 18 points, and the visiting Wildcats (23-5, 11-4 Big East) used a 21-5 run to take a 52-44 lead and never trailed again in turning back the Blue Demons (8-20, 0-15).

No. 11 Missouri 94, Kansas State 74: DeMarre Carroll had 21 points and 14 rebounds, J.T. Tiller added 15 points, six rebounds and six assists, and the host Tigers (24-4, 11-2 Big 12) raced to a 55-32 halftime lead in rolling past the Wildcats (19-9, 7-6) to improve to home to 17-0.

Virginia Tech 80, No. 12 Clemson 77: Malcolm Delaney scored 26 points, hitting a 3-pointer and a short jumper for a 77-72 lead with 3:15 left, as the visiting Hokies (17-10, 7-6 Atlantic Coast Conference) ended a three-game losing streak by rallying past the Tigers (22-5, 8-5).

No. 25 Texas 87, Texas Tech 81: Damion James had 20 points and 11 rebounds for his fourth consecutive double-double, A.J. Abrams added 24 points and the host Longhorns (19-8, 8-5 Big 12) beat the Red Raiders (12-16, 2-11). Tech was without head coach Pat Knight, who was suspended by the Big 12 for one game after criticizing officiating.

No. 6 Baylor 84, Texas Tech 53: Jhasmin Player scored 18 points, Danielle Wilson added 13 points and 13 rebounds, and the Bears (22-4, 10-3 Big 12) raced to a 48-28 halftime lead and never looked back in beating the Lady Red Raiders (15-12, 5-8).

No. 10 Duke 83, Wake Forest 50: Jasmine Thomas scored 16 points to lead three teammates in double figures as the host Blue Devils (23-4, 10-4 Atlantic Coast Conference) extended their winning streak over the Demon Deacons (18-9, 5-8) to 32 straight.

Temple 74, No. 13 Xavier 65: Shaqwedia Wallace scored 18 points and the host Owls (19-8, 10-3 Atlantic-10) opened a 39-25 advantage at halftime that never dipped below six thereafter in snapping the Musketeers' (24-5, 12-1) 15-game winning streak.

Nebraska 52, No. 20 Kansas State 47: Cory Montgomery had 21 points and eight rebounds, Ashley Sweat scored 13 points, and the host Cornhuskers (13-13, 4-9 Big 12) made 7 of 8 free throws in the final 41 seconds to upset the Wildcats (21-8, 8-5).

No. 25 Iowa State 76, Colorado 63: Kelsey Bolte scored 23 points, Alison Lacey added 20, and the host Cyclones (20-7, 8-5 Big 12) had a 24-5 advantage from the free-throw line to beat the Buffaloes (11-14, 3-10).
