Kailua residents can meet their Neighborhood Board candidates from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Kailua District Park pavilion.

Elections for the city's 33 Neighborhood Boards begin in late April and end May 22.

Boards have no decision-making power but they do advise city, state and federal governments on community issues.

The Kailua Neighborhood Board and the Maunawili Community Association are sponsoring the event.

Refreshments will be provided.
