Stanford sweeps UH men in volleyball

Evan Romero pounded 21 kills to boost Stanford to a 30-28, 30-26, 30-27 volleyball victory over Hawai'i tonight in the Stan Sheriff Center.
A crowd of 1,604 saw the Warriors fall to 3-9 overall and 2-7 in the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation.
The Cardinal is 10-7 and 6-6.
The Warriors, playing at home for the first time this month, unveiled a new lineup. Setter Sean Carney was at left-side hitter, in place of injured Steven Hunt; Nejc Zemljak made his first start at setter, and Jarrod Lofy opened in the middle.
Josh Walker banged out a UH-high 13 kills, but hit only .237.
