Merrie Monarch on demand on TVs around the world
Live and on-demand TV coverage of the non-profit Merrie Monarch Festival hula competition will be available outside the Islands through a contract between Hawaii IPTV and 4 Miles LLC.
Mainlanders and others who contract with IPTV will see the prestigious annual event's three nights of hula competition with the aid of a box that connects their TVs to the Internet. KITV continues to have exclusive rights to broadcast the Merrie Monarch hula competition in Hawaii, which takes place this year April 16-18.
Hawaii IPTV (Internet protocol television) is a video technology company launched in 2007 by Chris and Kimberly Dey to offer Hawaii coverage to homesick former Islanders and others interested in Hawaii and local events coverage. The service is not offered in the Islands.
