CBKB: Arkansas-Little Rock dismisses leading scorer
Associated Press
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Arkansas-Little Rock's leading scorer has been kicked off the basketball team by coach Steve Shields.
Steven Moore met with Shields today and the coach told the player it was in the best interest of the team to move forward without him. Moore averaged 13.6 points per game.
Moore had been suspended since a Feb. 19 loss to Western Kentucky, when he was benched and then sat in the stands for a time.
The Trojans (20-7, 13-3) have clinched the Sun Belt Conference Western Division and close out the regular season with home games this week against New Orleans and Louisiana-Lafayette.
