Skiing: Northug wins 30K at Nordic worlds

LIBEREC, Czech Republic — Petter Northug of Norway won the 30-kilometer skiathlon pursuit Sunday at the Nordic skiing world championships.
Northug finished in 1 hour, 15 minutes, 52.4 seconds, with Anders Sodergren of Sweden 3.1 seconds behind in second. Giorgio Di Centa of Italy took bronze after Alexander Legkov of Russia fell before the finish.
The race started with a 15-kilometer classical section before switching to freestyle over the final half.
