Department of Transportation director Brennon Morioka will discuss the Lahaina bypass highway and other West Maui road projects at tomorrow's meeting of the governor's Maui Community Advisory Council.

The public meeting will begin at 5 p.m. at the Lahaina Civic Center.

Morioka also will provide information on the Honoapi'ilani Highway widening work from Lahainaluna to Aholo, erosion control measures along the highway, and the state's $4.2 billion, six-year highways modernization plan, which includes 36 Maui County projects worth an estimated $579 million.
