'Iolani's Jordon Lee and Nick Goo each scored two goals to lift the Raiders to the state title, 5-2, over Mililani in the JN Automotive Group/HHSAA Boys Division I State Soccer Championships tonight at the Waipi'o Peninsula Soccer Complex.

It is 'Iolani's eighth overall title, but first since 2000. Under coach Chris Lee it has played in five of the past six tournament finals, breaking through for his first title as a coach last night.

It is Mililani's fifth overall title, but first since it won four straight from 2001 through 2004.

The match-up between the top-seeded 'Iolani, the Interscholastic League of Honolulu champion and second-seeded Mililani, the O'ahu Interscholastic Association champion, lived up to its billing with four combined goals in the first half, and three more by 'Iolani in the second half.

Jordon Lee scored on a pass from senior midfielder Keith Lum, who curled a pass around a Mililani defender that went right in front of the goal for Jordon Lee to put away.

The Trojans tied it on a goal by junior Ryan Yoneda after the Raiders failed to clear a throw-in by senior midfielder Cory Nakagawa. The ball fell to Yoneda's feet inside the 6-yard box and he tucked it away inside the right corner in the 18th minute.

Jordon Lee scored his second goal in the 22nd minute off a cross from the righ side from junior forward Nick Goo, who beat a defender and sent the ball in to Jordon Lee for him to volley in on one touch.

Mililani senior forward Aaron Yokoyama tied up again on a line-drive blast from the top of the 18-yard box that pinged off the left goalpost and into the goal in the 28th minute.

'Iolani went back up on goal by Goo after Mililani tried valiantly to clear the ball out after the Raiders took three shots in rapid succession but couldn't stop Goo's final shot in the 46th minute.

Goo scored again after contenting with three Mililani defenders inside the 18-yard box, breaking free to the left, shooting into the right netting in the 63rd minute.

'Iolani sophomore midfielder Patrick Shimoko scored to make it 5-2 after senior midfielder Paul Nakamoto crossed the ball in from the right side for Goo to drop to Shimoko who scored in the 68th minute.
