Hawai'i's Brian Ching and Landon Donovan are on the list of 20 players practicing in preparation for the U.S. men's soccer team's World Cup qualifier against Mexico on Wednesday.

Coach Bob Bradley announced the roster yesterday. Eighteen of the players participated in the first two rounds of World Cup qualifying last year.

The Americans will play Mexico at Crew Stadium in Columbus, Ohio to open the final round of regional qualifying. The top three teams from among the United States, Mexico, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Honduras, and Trinidad and Tobago, automatically advance to the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.

EX-FALCON ANDERSON ARRESTED FOR COKE, POT

Former Atlanta Falcons running back Jamal Anderson has been charged with felony cocaine possession and misdemeanor marijuana possession after being arrested at an Atlanta nightclub, authorities said yesterday.

Anderson, a fan favorite who created the "Dirty Bird" touchdown celebration dance, played eight seasons for the Falcons before leaving the team with a knee injury in 2001.

Atlanta police spokesman Officer Otis Redmond said Anderson, 36, was arrested early yesterday at the Peachtree Tavern in Atlanta's Buckhead district. Redmond said a second man, whose name was not immediately available, also was arrested.

Anderson and the other man were taken to Fulton County jail. Anderson has a court hearing on the charge today, authorities said.

COLTS DEFENSIVE TACKLE REID ARRESTED

Indianapolis Colts defensive tackle Darrell Reid was arrested on disorderly conduct and trespassing charges early yesterday after refusing to leave an Indianapolis nightclub parking lot.

Colts spokesman Craig Kelley said the team was aware of the situation but would withhold comment.

WOMEN'S DOWNHILL RESCHEDULED FOR TODAY

The women's downhill at the World Championships was postponed yesterday and rescheduled for today after up to 10 inches of snow fell on the Rhone-Alpes course in Val D'Isere, France. The women's race will be run today between the downhill and slalom runs of the men's super-combi.

NEWSPAPER REPORTS WOODS A PAPA AGAIN

On the day Tiger Woods usually hoists a trophy at Torrey Pines, a newspaper reported last night that the world's No. 1 golfer was busy with the birth of his first son.

The San Diego Union-Tribune, citing an unidentified person with ties to the Woods family, reported that Elin Woods gave birth for the second time. They had a daughter, Sam Alexis, in June 2007 on the day after the U.S. Open.

Woods did not have an announcement on his Web site, where he reports his news.
