Iolani, Seabury Hall earn top seeds for boys state soccer tournaments

'Iolani and Seabury Hall earned the top seeds for this week's Hawai'i High School Athletic Association Boys Soccer State Championships at the Waipi'o Peninsula Soccer Complex.
'Iolani (11-0-1), the Interscholastic League of Honolulu champion, received a first-round bye and plays in Thursday's Division I quarterfinals against the winner of Wednesday's Moanalua-Roosevelt game.
Also receiving seeds and first-round byes were league champions No. 2 Mililani (12-1-2, O'ahu Interscholastic Association), No. 3 Kealakehe (15-0, Big Island Interscholastic Federation) and No. 4 Kamehameha-Maui (8-3-1, Maui Interscholastic League).
First-round play begins on Wednesday. The championship game is Saturday at 7 p.m. Defending champion Kamehameha did not qualify for the tournament.
In the Division II bracket, MIL champion Seabury Hall (10-1-1) earned the top seed and a first-round bye. The Spartans play in Thursday's quarterfinals against the winner of the McKinley-Honoka'a game.
Also receiving seeds and first-round byes were league champions No. 2 Hawai'i Prep (11-3, BIIF), No. 3 Waialua (12-0, OIA) and No. 4 Kapa'a (7-0-1, Kaua'i Interscholastic Federation).
First-round play begins on Wednesday. The championship game is Saturday at 5 p.m. Defending champion Mid-Pacific plays in Wednesday's first round against Konawaena.
