Leland Chapman of Dog the Bounty Hunter fame will fight in an amateur boxing event Saturday at 6 p.m. at Palolo District Park gym.
Chapman is scheduled to fight Sam Quell at 135 pounds on the card of the fourth annual Clint Shelton Memorial Match Event. Admission is $10.
GREAT ALOHA RUN
Entries are available for the 25th annual Hawaiian Telcom Great Aloha Run on Feb. 16.
A total of 20,000 runners, joggers and walkers are expected for the 8.5-mile event from Aloha Tower in downtown to Aloha Stadium, starting at 7 a.m.
Since 1985, the event has raised more than $7.6 million, according to Great Aloha Run officials.

KARATE FOR BEGINNERS
Hawaii Shotokan Karate Club will start beginner classes this month in Manoa, Kane'ohe, 'Aiea and at the University of Hawai'i.
The three-month beginner course is $75 for one child; $100 for two children; $125 for family and $80 for an adult.

EX-NFL STAR AT CLINIC
Former Pittsburgh Steelers running back Chris Fuamatu-Ma'afala and his staff will hold a football fundamental skills camp Sundays from Feb. 15 to March 22 at Kapi'olani Park field No. 5.
The camp, which will teach fundamental skills, knowledge of the game and sportsmanship, is for youths ages 8 to 16.
Other staff members are Nate Ilaoa, West Keli'ikipi, Roy Ma'afala, Neil Rose, Brendyn Agbayani, Roy Hardy, Konti Pellegren and Peter Salavea.
Making special appearances will be Jacksonville guard Vince Manuwai, Cleveland Browns defensive lineman Mel Purcell, as well as Tim Chang, Leonard Peters and Maa Tanuvasa.
The clinic for ages 8 to 12 will be from 8 to 9:30 a.m. Those 13 to 16 will work out from 9:30 to 11 a.m.

PASSION FOR PADDLING
Kialoa, a company that handcrafts paddles, is sponsoring the sixth annual Live Like You Paddle Student scholarship.
Those interested must be 18 years or younger and will have to show their passion for paddling in artistic form, either by essays, poems or pictures.
The 10 winners will receive a Kialoa outrigger paddle valued up to $229.

LACROSSE REGISTRATION
The Aloha Youth Lacrosse Association is taking registration for the upcoming season.
Teams will be for boys and girls, ages 7 to high school.
Practice starts in mid-February with a 10-game season running from March to May. Boys play in protective gear. Intermediate and high school boys can body check.
