Light rains forecasted for the state

Light rains and stronger tradewinds will come across the islands from the northwest tomorrow and Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service.
The same weather system could bring a high surf advisory late Monday as a northwest swell rolls in with surf. Waves generate by the tradewinds and the northwest swell could produce seas of 10 feet or more.
The stronger winds will push showers across leeward areas as well, the weather service said. Come Wednesday, drier conditions are expected. The upper slopes of the Big Island may experience some precipitation as the clouds get hung up on the slopes mid-week.
