The sentencing of convicted murderer Jerrico Lindsey was delayed yesterday after Lindsey's lawyer asked to withdraw from the case.

Lindsey, 28, was convicted in October of second-degree murder and other offenses in the May 14, 2007, shooting death of Benjamin Grajeda.

He faces a sentence of life in prison plus the possibility of decades of additional time behind bars.

Lindsey's lawyer, William Harrison, asked to withdraw from the case, saying his client wanted to file additional motions in the case but that another attorney would have to file them.

Deputy Prosecutor Darrell Wong objected to a delay in the sentencing but Alm allowed Harrison to withdraw and set a new sentencing date in February.
