Hawaii home prices decline at slower rate than national average
Hawaiçi home prices slipped less than most states in the 12 months ended in September, according to a new report from a real estate data and information company.
First American CoreLogics home price index listed year-over-year decline in single family home prices in Hawaiçi as 3.54 percent. That compared to the national average of minus 7.82 percent.
Hawaiçis decline compared with a 24.37 percent decline in Nevada between September 2008 and September 2009, the worst in the nation.
The best was in North Dakota, where home prices rose 7.12 percent.
