NOTES
Nuggets: Point guard Chauncey Billups might miss Denver's game at New Orleans tonight because of a strained left groin. Billups was hurt in the second half of Denver's win over Houston on Wednesday night. Veteran Anthony Carter, a University of Hawai'i alum, would likely get the start ahead of rookie Ty Lawson if Billups can't play against New Orleans.
Magic: Jameer Nelson could return to Orlando's lineup by next week. Nelson had surgery Nov. 18 to repair torn cartilage in his left knee. He was averaging 13.7 points and 5.5 assists before getting hurt.
76ers: Allen Iverson has arthritis in the left knee and will not play for Philadelphia at Boston tonight. Iverson had an MRI yesterday after he needed the knee drained twice this week.
Knicks: New York guard Larry Hughes is expected to miss the next two games because of a strained left groin. Hughes is averaging 12.3 points a game.
