Admission free at Bishop Museum tomorrow
Bishop Museum is offering free admission tomorrow to commemorate the birthday of Bernice Pauahi Bishop, who was born Dec. 19, 1831.
The museum was founded by Charles Reed Bishop in his wife Pauahi’s honor after her death in 1884. Today’s celebration is an opportunity to see the restored Hawaiian Hall, which symbolizes the Bishops’ love. The hall is home to the largest collection of Hawaiian and Pacific area artifacts in the world.
Bishop Museum is currently hosting the touring exhibit “Dinosaurs Unearthed,” which will close Jan. 4. The museum also has exhibits featuring hats and wearable art.
The museum is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, visit www.bishopmuseum.org or call
