At Ala Moana Center tomorrow, you can have your gifts wrapped using recycled and green materials.

Kokua Hawaii Foundation and Kanu Hawaii have teamed up for a Simplify the Holidays campaign and are offering free gift-wrapping and card-making, using recycled paper, cards and gift tags, some premade and some you can make on your own.
Environmentally friendly gift wrapping is just one part of the Kokua Hawaii Foundation’s Twelve Days to a Green Holiday guide, which encourages people to simplify holiday traditions and consider alternative gift ideas. Other suggestions include using a locally grown or potted Christmas tree, giving edible gifts or plants, reusing traditional wrapping paper or finding alternatives and starting traditions like combining caroling with a litter clean-up.
