NFL: Raiders QB Gradkowski out with knee injury
Associated Press
OAKLAND, Calif. — Oakland Raiders quarterback Bruce Gradkowski left the game against the Washington Redskins with a knee injury and was replaced by JaMarcus Russell.
Gradkowski was hurt throwing a pass in the final seconds of the first half and was ruled out of the game Sunday at halftime. That opened the door for Russell to return, four weeks after being benched by coach Tom Cable.
Russell lost his job last month. He has completed just 46.8 percent of his passes this season, with nine interceptions and five lost fumbles. Russell was booed when he entered.
Oakland star cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha also left in the third quarter with a right forearm injury. His return is questionable.
