CBKB: Mizzou women players suspended following alleged assault

COLUMBIA, Mo. — The two leading scorers for Missouri’s women’s basketball team have been suspended indefinitely after they were arrested on suspicion of misdemeanor assault.
Associate athletic director Chad Moller confirmed the suspensions Saturday night.
Columbia police Sgt. Will Green says Amanda Hanneman and Jessra Johnson were arrested about 2 a.m. Friday following an argument at an off-campus apartment complex. Nobody else was arrested.
The Columbia Daily Tribune reported that the victim was a male cheerleader. Green would not identify the victim but said the person suffered a bloody nose that may be broken.
The incident followed Missouri’s 83-34 victory over Texas-Pan American on Thursday night.
