Victim in burning-car case was Honolulu resident, 47
The city Department of the Medical Examiner has identified Steven Ruiz, 47, of Honolulu, as the man who died after bystanders pulled him out of his burning car early on the morning of Dec. 3 in Kahuku.
Paramedics said at the time that Ruiz did not appear to have been burned in the incident.
The cause of death in the case was listed as multiple internal injuries from a motor vehicle accident.
