Publisher Buddy Bess of Bess Press has presented the Hawaii State Public Library System with 3,000 copies each of two popular local books: "Hawaii Warrior Football: A Story of Faith, Hope and Redemption" by J. Dvid Miller with a forward by June Jones (and prepared in cooperation with The Honolulu Advertiser) and "IZ: Voice of the People" by Rick Carroll with a forward by Marlene Ku'upua Kamakawiwo'ole.

Both are lavishly illustrated coffee table books. The retail value of the gift is in excess of $100,000.
