MADISON, Wis. — Even after the game, Trevon Hughes had all the answers.

Hughes had 19 of his career-high 26 points in the second half, and Wisconsin's 73-69 win over No. 6 Duke last night snapped the Blue Devils' perfect mark in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge.

"The Big Ten's never won, and I think we won it?" teammate Keaton Nankivil asked postgame.

There was Hughes, right on cue: "Yeah, and the first time Duke lost."

With Illinois' 76-74 rally over Clemson and Ohio State's 77-64 victory over Florida State in the final game, the Big Ten won the 11-year series for the first time, 6-5.

"I'm proud to be a part of the conference when they win something," Wisconsin coach Bo Ryan said. "We're in it to try to win it."

It was especially sweet for the Badgers (5-1), who never trailed and got a measure of payback against Duke (6-1) after being routed 82-58 two years ago in a challenge game in Durham, N.C. Wisconsin's win ended the Blue Devils' 10-0 streak in the annual event and helped end the ACC's perfect 10-0 record as well.

Jerome Dyson scored 22 points and the host Huskies (5-1) used a 12-1 run for a 25-16 lead and never looked back in beating the Terriers (2-6).

Matt Bouldin scored a career-high 28 points and the host Bulldogs (6-1) rallied from a 13-point, second-half deficit to beat the Cougars (6-1).

Mike Tisdale hit the go-ahead jumper with 41 seconds left then blocked David Potter's shot as the visiting Illini (5-2) rallied from 23 points down to beat the Tigers (6-2).

Khris Middleton scored 17 points and the host Aggies (6-1) trailed early — 15-6 — before going on a 29-10 run for a 35-25 halftime lead in rolling past the Panthers (3-3).

Jerry Smith scored 17 points, Samardo Samuels and Edgar Sosa each added 15 as the host Cardinals (5-1) took a 37-21 halftime lead in beating the Hatters (2-5).

Dominic Waters, a former University of Hawai'i guard, scored 21 of his 23 points in the second half as the host Vikings (2-4) upset the Pilots (5-2).

Jared Quayle scored 22 points, including 18 in the second half, to lead the host Aggies (3-3) past their in-state rival Cougars (5-1).

Jet Chang scored 27 points and Virgil Buensuceso added 18, helping the visiting Seasiders (3-0) turn back the Wolves (4-2). Rory Patterson added 15, Anthony Reilly had 11 and Marques Whippy 10 for BYUH which led 47-41 at halftime. Rico Myles led the Wolves with 20 points and 12 rebounds.

Lindsey Schrader and Skylar Diggins scored 15 points each and the host Irish (7-0), trailing 42-40, used an 11-0 run to pull away from the Eagles (5-1), who got no closer than five thereafter.

Tanisha Smith scored 30 points, Tyra White added 17 and Sydney Carter had 16 as the host Aggies (4-0) picked up 16 steals in cruising past the LadyJacks (3-2).

Merideth Marsh scored 21 points and the visiting Commodores (7-0) opened the second half with a 11-2 run for 41-23 lead in beating the Raiders (3-2).
