An 84-year-old woman died of injuries suffered yesterday when she was struck by an SUV in a driveway of the Don Quijote store on Kaheka Street just before 9 a.m., police said.

An Isuzu Rodeo driven by a 68-year-old man was turning right from Kaheka Street into the store's parking lot when the vehicle hit the pedestrian, who was walking in the makai direction, police said.

The woman suffered serious head injuries and was taken to The Queen's Medical Center in critical condition, police said.

The woman was pronounced dead at 12:55 p.m., police said.
