The O'Neill World Cup of Surfing has been postponed today due to a lack of quality waves at Sunset Beach.

Contest officials were hoping to run a half-day of competition this afternoon, but the waves never reached a contestable height.

A large swell is expected to arrive on O'ahu's North Shore overnight, so the competition is expected to resume tomorrow morning.
