Silent march set for Kaikana-Rodrigues

A silent march in memory of murder victim Iris Rodrigues-Kaikana, will be held at 5:30 p.m. Monday at the Hawaiçs State Capitol.
Rodrigues-Kaikana, 18, was found dead Aug. 24 in an alley adjacent to the Kamehameha Homes housing project where she lived. Police said the McKinley High School graduate was strangled. No arrests have been made in connection with the case.
Monday’s march will be hosted by state Rep. John Mizuno, D-30th (Kamehameha Heights, Kalihi Valley, Fort Shafter), and family and friends of Rodrigues-Kaikana,.
Yesterday, Mizuno announced that an award fund for the arrest of the person or persons responsible for Rodrigues-Kaikana’s, death has reached $2,500. This total includes contributions from CrimeStoppers, Mizuno, Grant Cooper and Stephany Sofos.
