The Department of Defense announced today the death of a Guam soldier who was supporting Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan.

Army 1st Sgt. Jose S.N. Crisostomo, 59, of Inarajan, died Aug. 18 in Kabul of wounds suffered when an improvised explosive device detonated near his vehicle. He was assigned to International Security Assistance Force Kabul.
