'Snowshow' creator donates to Hawaii Foodbank

The creator of “Slava’s Snowshow,” showing through Aug. 23 at Hawaii Theatre, is donating $4,050 to the Hawaii Foodbank today. The proceeds are from the opening night of “Slava’s Snowshow.”
Slava Polunin is donating the money at 6 p.m. tonight at Hawaii Theatre. Wednesday, the show’s cast — all clowns — will visit the Shriners Hospital for Children at 1:30 p.m.
The cast will perform short segments from the show — including bubbles, flying balls and song while — visiting the children.
“Slava’s Snowshow” has been been heralded as funny, innovative and entertaining in reviews both national and local. The show is not for children 8 and younger.
