A 35-year-old Moiliili man was arrested early this morning after he was found riding a moped that had been reported stolen by a 24-year-old man.
Police said a patrol officer pulled the moped rider over about 1:35 a.m. near the corner of Pensacola Street and Kapiolani Boulevard because it did not have a taillight.
After learning the moped had been stolen, the officer arrested the rider on suspicion of unauthorized control of a propelled vehicle, driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs and for a contempt of court warrant issued in an unrelated case.
