Vick signs with Eagles |

Tom Brady was making his comeback against the host Philadelphia Eagles while Michael Vick was getting ready to join them.
Brady threw two touchdown passes in his first game since tearing ligaments in his left knee in Week 1 last year, leading the New England Patriots to a 27-25 victory over the Eagles in the preseason opener last night.
Brady's return was overshadowed by the news that the Eagles signed Vick to a one-year deal with an option for a second year.
Vick was convicted in August 2007 of conspiracy and running a dogfighting operation, and served 18 of a 23-month sentence in federal prison. The former Atlanta Falcons quarterback also was suspended indefinitely by the NFL. He played his last NFL game Dec. 31, 2006, against the Eagles.
Brady ran well in the pocket and showed no lingering effects of his surgically repaired left knee. He threw two touchdown passes to tight end Chris Baker, one in the first quarter and another in the second.
Brady completed 10 of 15 passes for 100 yards with one interception.
"I need the work, we all need the work," Brady said. "You can't duplicate this on the practice field."
Brady, a two-time Super Bowl MVP, sat out the entire exhibition season last year because of an unspecified foot injury.
RAVENS 23, REDSKINS 0
Colt Brennan didn't cause a buzz this time around. Unlike his NFL debut last preseason in which he completed 9 of 10 passes for 123 yards and two touchdowns, Brennan had modest statistics against the Baltimore Ravens yesterday in an exhibition opener at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore.
Brennan, who led the University of Hawai'i to the 2008 Sugar Bowl and was a Heisman Trophy finalist, completed 4 of 12 passes for 43 yards and was intercepted once in two quarters of play. He also had three carries for 13 yards.
Brennan, who entered the game with a little over 9 minutes to play in the third period, completed his first pass — 21 yards to D.J. Hackett. It would be his longest completion of the night.
RAIDERS 31, COWBOYS 10
Bruce Gradkowski engineered three touchdown drives for host Oakland against mostly backups on Dallas' defense, throwing a 3-yard touchdown pass to Tony Stewart in the second quarter.
Louis Rankin and Gary Russell added short TD runs in the third quarter.
Dallas star Tony Romo threw an 8-yard touchdown pass to favorite target Jason Witten.
STEELERS 20, CARDINALS 10
Isaac Redman, an undrafted rookie from Bowie State playing long after the starters for both Super Bowl teams left the field, scored twice in the fourth quarter for the host Steelers.
Ben Roethlisberger and Kurt Warner each played two series. Neither produced a point.
