Girl Scouts replanting native greenery at garden
Girl Scout Troop 709 has raised $150 in cash and plant donations to replant native vegetation at Kaha Garden, a demonstration project of native and indigenous plants that can be used for water quality improvements in an urban area.
The Girl Scouts will be at the Kawai Nui Marsh site 2 p.m. Sunday to replant the garden, at 750 Kaha St., as part of their effort to earn a Bronze Award that requires planning and executing a community service project.
The garden was developed in 2007 by Hui o Ko'olaupoko and is maintained by community volunteers.
