Ballet Hawaii dancers will be taking to the air for the family-friendly “Peter Pan” this weekend, with matinees at 1 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Blaisdell Concert Hall.

The ballet, choreographed by Septime Webre, is based on James M. Barrie’s classic book, and will be performed en pointe, as well as in the air, with the familiar characters Peter Pan, Wendy Darling and her brothers, Captain Hook, and the tick-tocking crocodile that hungers for the rest of the one-handed pirate.
